Yes. It´s a standard flatslide MikuniVM38SS. The original one. It came with the bike.franz muc hat geschrieben:your carburetor is VM38 ss?

Hans, thanks for the reply. The picture I added is not the original plunger (it´s from a TU250), but I have the original plunger (have actually tried 4) and nothing changes. 
I have actually changed the carburettor to a different one, and still the same thing!

This is my first post after my intro.
My 1989 DR600, will not start from cold, even if you pulll the choke plunger. I have dismantled and cleaned the carb, set up the decompression cables, and everything seems normal.
