'91 DR 650 RS --> supermoto?

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and do not speak german but I hope I can get some information despite my disability.

So, I'm looking to buy a '91 DR 650 RS from a friend of mine and turn it into a supermoto for the street. Is this a good model for this project? I will dismantle the bike completely and therefore I will have the chance to do some tuning at the same time. What tuning / tuning parts do you recommend? What about 17" wheels, where in Germany can I get them cheap?

Hallo Mara,

its very difficult do answer of your question in english.
We have a many good Idee's here - but all in german.

You will build a SM (SuperMoto) with a DR.
You can look of ABP (Button oben left) this is a good Tuningshop with pic's from a SM DR650.
