DR650SE -03 engine bearings

Hello.

To begin with my german is very poor so I have to take this and will only understand replies in english. I hope this is okay with you guys. I wish this site was in english

I have a question about the internal tolerance of the ball bearings in the dr650 engine. I have riped the engine apart and I am going to change all the bearings to new fresh ones. The thing is that the oem bearings is extremely expensive, so I am thinking of changing them all to SKF bearings. The problem is that I do not know the internal tolerance of the bearings, c2,c3 etc. For example one of the crankshaft bearing is a NSK bearing marked 6209, but not the tolerance. I don't even know if the tolerance ever is stamped on the bearing itself. If anyone can help me a little I will be a very happy man

Hey Andreas.
I also ripped my engine apart and changed all the bearings. I used SKF bearings because they r good quality and reasonably cheap.
What i did, i took the engine halves to a workshop which changes bearings (showed him the old bearings) and the guy in the workshop orderd new ones. So i guess you should do the same. Find someone in our area or sorroundings who can change bearings. I think that the type of bearing is stamped into each individual bearing so you know which one to order. I am not 100 procent shure tho.

not at all Tobi, Andreas means the specifications of tolerances -like described -> click here, listet No. 7

My private thinking ist - take the "normal" bearings; not more or less tolerance. Originally bearings by suzuki are also, thats surely tested in construction and more than 20 years equal in use with not different knowledge or experience.

The thing is that I want exactly the suzuki original internal tolerance but do not know what it is. Do I understand you right when I say that the suzuki original bearings internal tolerance is by skf means "normal", not C2 nor C3?
